On the show today, an interview with Adrian Belew who is currently touring with his power trio. Belew has played with many musicians and groups over his illustrious career; Zappa, Talking Heads, Bowie, Nine Inch Nails, Laurie Anderson plus many more. He's performed on about 150 albums to date and for the last 27 years has been part of King Crimson. I'm sure you have heard of them. Hear what he had to say or download the interview for future listening.
Also Lulo Reinhardt, relative of the great Django passed through town this week. Hear what he had to say and maybe get along to hear him play at a performance near you somewhere,
Music by David Sylvian & Robert Fripp, Adrian Belew, Rodrigo Y Gabriela from their new CD recorded live in Japan, Muslimgauze, Speaking of which, over the next few weeks I'll be playing parts of a longish interview I did with Roger Richards, the man machine behind the Extreme label out of Melbourne. He has come out of hibernation with a swag of new releases, many focussing on Australian musicians. Not always easy on the ears, this is none the less essential listening from a label that likes to push and explore what is on the boundaries of new music.
